SingerLewak History
1959
Phil Singer founds the firm that will become SingerLewak.
Bernard Lewak, an accounting student at UCLA whose father was a client of Singer's, joins Phil as a part-time employee. Together they work out of a one-room office in an old stucco building above a client’s grocery store. Their furnishings consist of one drafting table. After graduation, Lewak joins Singer Gottfried and Associates full time.

1961
Singer reunites with Lewak and joins with another partner to form Singer, Ross & Lewak.
In 1962, Ross withdraws and the firm becomes Singer, Lewak & Associates.
1967
The firm becomes Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein.
The new partners are Norman L. Greenbaum and Harvey Goldstein, a graduate of California State University at Los Angeles.

1972
Harvey Goldstein becomes Managing Partner of SLGG.
Requiring more space, the growing firm moves to its current Wilshire Boulevard location. When the firm expanded its services to Orange County in 1979, this new office was managed by partner David W. Krajanowski.
