Environmental and Social Governance Practices and Policies

At SingerLewak, our core values are built around having PRIDE in everything that we do. And we believe that everyone, irrespective of background, gender, race or religion, has a right to be proud. To that end, over the years we have built a series of diversity and inclusion programs designed to address not only equality, but to give every SL team member the opportunity to progress their career at their pace and on their terms.

Our partner group has always been proactive in addressing Environmental Social Governance (“ESG”) needs and solidified this by establishing ESG as one of the four pillars of our “SL Forward” initiative, a firm-wide strategic growth plan that has been internally implemented over the past few years. Under this umbrella, the firm has developed the following programs and continues to refine and enhance its policies to ensure objectives are maintained:


  • SL NextGen
    Respectful that every team member has “a voice,” anyone within the firm can present ideas to enhance our firm culture and environment to a committee of team members (comprising firm administration and staff through director levels) for consideration. The committee also stays abreast of diversity and inclusion programs deployed by other companies and evaluates whether these could be adopted by the firm.
  • Parental Groups
    Our parental group acts as a support system for working parents who inspire one another through sharing parenting best practices. Through this program, the company encourages all departments to adopt a flexible mindset to accommodate team members non work commitments.
  • SL Cares
    Our Nonprofit initiative incorporates “SL volunteer” a program which enables team members to pursue their philanthropic passions by providing paid time off during the working week to volunteer at 501c(3) nonprofits of their choosing.
  • Interview and Onboarding
    Our policies are revisited and updated regularly, to ensure we constantly address changing needs and expectations in the marketplace.
  • External Initiatives and Programs
    Ethical commitment to our profession, our firm actively participates in AICPA and PrimeGlobal events geared at promoting women’s and minority initiatives within our industry.
