Peter Seidel
Peter is a highly qualified and experienced attorney and Certified Public Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota), a Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and his J.D. and LL.M (tax) degrees from William Mitchell College of Law. Peter is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Minnesota Bar, the AICPA, the California Bar Association (Tax Section), and the American Bar Association (Tax Section). He is also the chair of the national state and local special interest group (SIG) for the affiliate firms of PrimeGlobal. With nearly 20 years of experience in the state and local tax field, Peter has developed a specialization in multistate income tax, multistate sales tax, controversy and residency matters. He has also assisted clients with property tax and credits matters. Prior to joining SingerLewak in 2015, Peter worked as a state tax manager with a Big 4 accounting firm, as well as a state tax manager in private industry (software). He is a sought-after speaker and has presented at several tax conferences, speaking on SALT matters for various organizations such as the California Society of CPAs, Oregon Society of CPAs, and PrimeGlobal. Peter has also authored SALT articles in publications such as Tax Advisor, showcasing his thought leadership and expertise in the field.
