Karen Miessner

Karen is a Certified Public Accountant with over 27 years of experience serving not-for-profit organizations in many capacities, including independent auditor, consultant, CFO, board member and volunteer. Karen’s experiences in these various functions as well as in a wide variety of not-for-profit organizations have given her a practical and informed approach to serving her clients.

Karen is the board chair for the CalCPA Nonprofit State Committee and served on the American Institute of Certified Accountants Not-for-Profit Expert Panel from 2018-2021. Karen has been a contributor to the AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide for Not-for-Profit Entities and the annual AICPA Audit Risk Alert for Not-for-Profit Entities. Karen has been a speaker at the AICPA Not-for-Profit Conference, CALCPA, and Colorado CPA annual Not-for-Profit Conferences.
