Sheila Balzer is an Audit Partner based in SingerLewak’s Denver Office.

Audit partner with significant experience in in helping companies present high quality financial statements to users, lenders and investors. She provides assurance services (audits, reviews, compilations, and due diligence) to clients. Value-added consultant to client management personnel on a variety of business matters. Recognized expert in the credit union industry.
Sheila is a frequently requested speaker on financial literacy for volunteers serving in Board or Committee oversight roles in the credit union and non-profit arenas.

Education & Affiliations
Sheila is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Denver and holds a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in Accountancy. She has a demonstrated commitment to the CPA profession. She currently serves as a Director on the Board of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). She also holds leadership roles in the AICPA on its Council (which governs the CPA profession in the United States) and Accounting & Review Services Committee (which issues the rules for review and compilation engagements that all CPAs must follow). In the state of Colorado she has also served as the Chair of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs Educational Foundation. Sheila was nominated as an Outstanding Women in Business by the Denver Business Journal and was named a Women to Watch by the Colorado Society of CPAs. Sheila volunteers as part of the counting team at her church, as a girls’ softball coach and with several Denver area high schools as part of their business advisory committees.
