Mitchell Taira

Mitch is an experienced Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Hawaii. He is an active member of the Americian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hawaii State Society of CPAs. Prior to joining the firm, Mitch gained experience in the utility sector as the Director of Corporate Accounting at Hawaii Gas and prior to that, worked in public accounting at Ernst and Young for 12 years. Mitch's public accounting experience extended primarily in the not-for-profit entities, healthcare, insurance and real estate sectors, leading both external and internal audits. With his expertise and experience, Mitch is a trusted advisor and resource.

Mitch is also actively involved in giving back to the community, volunteering on the board of the Friends of the University of Hawaii Cancer Center and serving as Treasurer since 2016.
