Jessica Nadler, JD, CPA
Jessica Nadler is a Partner with the SLBiggs division and leader of the firm’s Trust & Estate practice. Jessica Nadler focuses her practice in the specialized area of litigation support services, with an emphasis on probate, trust, and estate litigation matters. Ms. Nadler works closely with attorneys, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries on engagements involving trust and estate administration, tax planning, fiduciary accountings, litigation proceedings, and expert witness reports. Drawing on her combined background of law and finance, she brings unique insight to cases, which allows for efficient and effective resolution of complex issues.
Ms. Nadler has extensive experience in all stages of the trust and estate administration process, from early stage consultations through final distributions, in both contested and non-contested matters. As part of Ms. Nadler’s trust and estate administration practice, she has specialized experience in trust and probate accounting, including preparation of accountings for trusts with complex assets that include operating businesses, actively traded securities, multi-family rental and commercial properties, and other unique investments from a few million to hundreds of millions of dollars in value.
Ms. Nadler’s trust and estate administration services include:
- Fiduciary accounting preparation, consultations, and expert witness reports
- Distribution calculations, including principal and income allocations and asset equalization
- Tax planning and tax return preparation, including Forms 706 (Estate Tax Return), 1041 (Fiduciary Tax Return), and 709 (Gift Tax Return)
- Tracing and marshalling of assets
- Consultation with fiduciaries on day-to-day transactions and maintenance of books and records
Ms. Nadler’s litigation practice extends beyond trust and estate matters to also include forensic accounting, bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring, record reconstruction, and asset recovery work.
Ms. Nadler is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the State Bar of California. She received her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
