On Thursday Nov. 19th, Business Oregon opened applications for the Emergency Small Business Assistance Fund at 3pm. Within 30 minutes the application window had closed. Based on initial funding requests, all $20 million has been spoken for. However, the agency will be reviewing the applications. There may me more funding available if any of the initial applicants are deemed ineligible.

Businesses impacted by the latest executive order by Governor Kate Brown can check the status of this fifth round of COVID-19 relief directly on the Business Oregon website at: Small Business Navigator: Emergency Small Business Assistance Fund (oregon4biz.com)

This latest round of relief was made available to the following businesses:

  • Businesses with 1 to 25 employees that already received $100,000 to $1 million in funding from other federal resources, such as the PPP loan, are now eligible.
  • Businesses with 26 to 100 employees are eligible regardless of the amount of federal resources, such as the PPP loan, received (up to $1M).
  • The business must be prohibited from operations by Governor Brown’s Executive Order (EO) 20-12, or demonstrate a 25% reduction in sales of a 30-day period in 2020 compared to a comparable period in 2019 (between March 1, 2020 and August 31, 2020)
